Job Description

This position is in Blockchain team.

Zama recently unveiled the Zama Confidential Blockchain Protocol, which enables confidential smart contracts on top of any blockchain L1 or L2 using Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE). The Blockchain division is working on our managed relayer that lets internal teams and external developers use the open-source Zama Protocol through simple, authenticated HTTPS endpoints. Think Infura or Alchemy, but confidential by default.

We are looking for a hands-on DevOps/Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to design, build, and operate the cloud and platform foundations of ZDP. You will help shape the front door to Zama’s privacy-preserving technology. Your work will remove complexity for developers, accelerate internal iteration, and underpin how confidential applications get built and scaled.

  • CI/CD Pipelines: Develop and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines 🔄 for automated deployment and testing of blockchain services, web consoles, and internal team tooling.

Implement best practices for continuous integration and delivery.

  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Utilize tools such as Terraform, Helm, ArgoCD, and Ansible ⚙️ to manage and automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration.

  • Monitoring and Logging: Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions 📊 to ensure the health and performance of our blockchain infrastructure.

Use tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack.

  • Security Best Practices: Collaborate with the security team to integrate DevSecOps practices 🔐 into deployment pipelines.

Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

  • Cloud Management: Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) ☁️ hosting blockchain applications.

Optimize for cost, performance, and security.

  • Tooling Development: Create and maintain custom tools 🛠️ and automation scripts to enhance the efficiency of DevOps processes and reduce manual overhead.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with blockchain developers, console developers, product teams, and security engineers 🤝 to deliver seamless deployment solutions that meet the needs of our growing platform.

Preferred Experience

  • Kubernetes: Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes.

  • CI/CD: Proven experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools like GithubActions, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.

  • Infrastructure as Code: Proficiency with IaC tools such as Terraform, Helm, ArgoCD/Flux or Ansible.

  • Cloud Platforms: Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure, with a focus on infrastructure management and optimization.

  • Security: Understanding of DevSecOps principles and experience implementing security best practices in CI/CD pipelines and cloud environments.

  • Scripting: Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation and tooling development.

  • Only candidates on the East Coast of the United States or Canada are eligible.
