Job Description

Zama is looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Finance & People Operations Coordinator to join our growing team. In this cross-functional role, you will play a critical part in supporting both our finance and HR functions to ensure smooth operations, regulatory compliance, and high-quality reporting.

You will work closely with internal stakeholders, external accountants, and HR service providers to maintain accurate records, ensure timely payroll execution, and support budgeting and financial planning cycles. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys managing multiple responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Finance Operations

  • Support monthly and quarterly budgeting and forecasting processes, in coordination with department leads.

  • Maintain and update financial records, ensuring consistency and accuracy in bookkeeping systems.

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management reports and other ad-hoc financial analysis.

  • Liaise with external accountants and auditors for statutory reporting, filings, and audits.

  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and internal controls.

Payroll Coordination

  • Collect, verify, and organize payroll data in coordination with HR and department heads.

  • Ensure timely submission and closure of monthly payroll with external providers.

  • Track employee benefits, allowances, and deductions to ensure accurate payroll processing.

  • Maintain confidential payroll records and support compliance with tax and labor regulations.

People Operations

  • Work alongside the Ops Admin and Office Manager to maintain and update employee records in HR systems.

  • Prepare HR-related reports, such as headcount, leave tracking, and organizational changes.

  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes from a systems and documentation perspective.

  • Help implement and coordinate company policies and employee engagement initiatives.

  • Act as a liaison between employees and external benefits or HR service providers.

Preferred Experience

He/she/they will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, HR, or a related field.

  • 2–4 years of experience in a similar finance, HR, or operations coordination role.

  • Familiarity with payroll systems and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, PayFit, Deel).

  • Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills and confidence working with data.

  • Knowledge of local labor laws and financial reporting requirements is a plus.
