Job Description

Zama's Hardware team stands at the vanguard of creating an accelerator tailored for FHE on FPGA, encompassing the gamut from algorithm comprehension to the holistic development of the solution. As a core member of a growing team of 4 engineers, your expertise will be instrumental in shaping the FHE accelerator. Your collaboration with other teams, especially our research teams, is essential for the fruition of this pioneering initiative. Possessing a deep mastery in FPGA development and high-frequency hardware architecture is imperative. Zama's pioneering approach to homomorphic encryption presents an extraordinary opportunity: to creatively carry out intricate calculations on hardware, ultimately enabling FHE users to disregard its performance impact. A comfortable grasp of mathematics and especially algebra will stand you in good stead in this endeavor. You will:

  • Lead the development of vital functionalities of FHE on latest and largest FPGA, which includes designing both macro and micro architectures, crafting RTL in SystemVerilog, testing via simulations, and synthesizing on the target hardware.

  • Oversee the FPGA bring-up, ensuring smooth execution and optimal performance to both reach the lowest possible latency and the highest operation throughput

  • Play a pivotal role in shaping benchmarks, aligning them with project objectives and industry standards.

Preferred Experience

  • Proven track record of at least 4 years in developing RTL synthesizable designs in Verilog, SystemVerilog…

  • In-depth knowledge of FPGA development tools, especially on Xilinx platforms.

  • Proficiency with version control tools, notably git.

  • Familiarity with continuous integration practices and principles.

  • A background in scripting offers a significant advantage.

  • Outstanding communication skills, ensuring clear articulation and understanding across teams.

  • An inherent quality of being a team player, fostering collaborative growth and shared success.
